When I opened I my salt was 2000, I have since added 195.3 lbs of salt and my test says 2800. My SWG is working so it's fine but pool math said to add 141 lbs to get to 3400. I haven't had to add water since opening so I don't think it's leaking. I haven't backwashed. we've had some rain, but I really didn't add much salt at all between opening and closing last year so I don't think a little rain would do this. Do I just ignore it since my SWG is working fine? the thing is it likes a high salt content, which is why I was aiming for 3400. I have been using this salt test for 2 years, could it be bad?

If you are getting your salinities from the K1766 that is the most accurate you can use.

Poolmath goes by what you enter into it. Be sure the pool volume, starting salinity, target salinity, etc was correct.

If the SWCG is happy, everything is good. Watch for the low salt warning.

Salt does not go bad.

Are you using a SpeedStir for the K1766 testing? For accuracy, that is nearly required.
