I use the TF-Pro to test my water. When I administer the salt test (R-0630/R-0718 + speed stir), the test results are always higher or much higher than what the salt cell or Pentair Home App indicates. I know that the range is ~500 ppm variance but I've had test results 700 to 950 ppm higher. For example today's salt cell reading is 2550 but my water test indicates 3400. I'm also getting a low salt warning on the cell and App. The TFP rule of thumb is to trust the test but I'm getting a bit concerned.

Hold the reagent bottle vertical. Let the drops form and drop under their own weight. Don't squeeze them out quickly.

Try it again and slow down. Let's eliminate testing error before we go into a cell issue.

Test error is +/- 1 drop in 10. At 3400, that's 17 drops, or 1.7 x200 in error = +/- 340.

Second question, how old are your reagents? I had some that were in the last month of date code. Replaced reagents and I was 200-400 lower with new reagents.

Just in case…Make sure you dont add any more drops to the test once it turns from yellow to red/salmon/etc. The salt test is different than all the other in that you dont keep adding drops until it stips charging color.
