Salt level reading 4200, pool store says 2600.

I have a Goldline Aqua Plus System. I installed a new Hayward T-15 Cell a month or two ago. After installing the new cell, my system tells me the salt level is 4200. I went to pool store and they used Taylor test kit and it is 2600. Instant salt reading matches the average salt reading. I added two bags of salt and 1 bag ph down. The salt level readings actually went up to 4600+\-. So the level is moving with more salt. Is there a chance the aqua plus system is bad or has corrupted sw? It is about 8 years old. The Omni cell upgrade is $1500, but I don’t want to spend that if it will not resolve issue. Could the salt cell be bad? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

The Aquarite system does not measure salinity directly, it correlates a salinity reading with the performance output of the cell using volts and amps.

Your system is indicating over performance. That will likely change once the new wears off the cell.

I assume you are using an OEM T15.

Yes it is a brand new OEM cell. Attached are photos of the read outs of my system. Probably a month or two ago.

Your amps are running pretty high. It will shut down at 8 amps. So I would get the salinity in the pool a bit lower by draining and refilling with fresh water.
