After opening in May (and adding salt), my salt levels have been steadily 4200- 4400 (my pool techs always seem to over salt upon opening). Weirdly, despite adding water due to condensation (approximately 2 inches twice) and lots of spring rain, my salt is now measuring 5000 with my Taylor Test kit and 4500 on my Hayward Aquarite. All my other values are good and I’m getting no alarms on my Aquarite. The water tastes a bit salty but not irritating to the skin. Pool techs coming this week to clean the filter and SWG. Should I be concerned? Thank you.

Salt does not evaporate. So as you add water for evaporation, the water will retain its original salt level. Only splash-out removes salt. Salt is added with almost everything you put in the pool. Chlorine, Calcium, Acid, etc. If you get too much higher you may need to do a partial water change. I over-salted this year as well but I am around 3500 which is manageable.
