Rusted Old Metal Coping - What is this?

Hi All,
Please help. What is style/brand of metal coping called and any suggestions for how to remove the aluminum and rusted galvanized? This is from a late 1960s, early 1970's pool. Has anyone updated their pool from this type of coping? Would love your ideas and pictures!
