Hello - New pool owner. I inherited it with the house I purchased. This was like this last summer and help up all season. Would like to reinforce it this year to get through one more season. Any thoughts on if this is repairable? See pictures. Thanks!!

Gonna have to start by draining pool down 6 inches or so below that return, remove it and see what you're dealing with. I'd fashion at least a 8x8 thin metal plate for both sides, bigger depending how far out you need to actually remove the totally corroded part. Sand it, rustoleum it, then pop rivet, gorilla glue and then 3 layers of duct tape around edges on inside of pool wall. Gonna have to remove a couple of top rails and pool wall rails to access the inside.

You'll need to drop the water down below the return and then carefully undo andpull the liner back from that area.
Get some sheet metal that is slightly larger than the affected area that is all rusty. Drill out the size hole for the return in the middle of it. Use rivets going from the inside and secure it in place, lining up the two holes. Cover all the edges with several layers of gorilla tape to prevent the liner from getting damaged. Then put the liner back in place and assemble the return. Refill the pool!
