Rubber Stopper for Weir Door Help!

I tried in a previous post to get any insight but no luck. Here's a picture of the setup. I had to get a new rubber stopper for my weir door. I cannot for the life of me get the thing to fit into the little hole. Anyone with experience have any tips? I've tried pool lube but that did not work.

Warm it up with a hair dryer to make it squishy, then lube, then use a c-clamp to press into hole.
Do all of this quickly, so the rubber stays warm. So have your c-clamp adjusted to just fit over everything, then a few turns and it should pop right in. Make sure your c-clamp is off to the left or right of the hole.

Ohhhhh that's what you were talking about! I thought you couldn't get the weir back on. Yeah you just work it in the hole. It will be very tight. Heating will help.
