I have been working on leveling my pool, trenching for electrical, and I too won't have the pool up by the 4th. I'm gonna be working like crazy on the 3rd trying to make it happen though!

I have to work a 12 hr shift today so it won't matter if it rains or not.

What a mess, what type of soil is that? We have black clay here that turns to muck and sticks to everything when wet.

However we don't get that much rain here unless a hurricane or tropical storm comes to the gulf.

It's clay. It's the worst stuff ever! Can't walk on it at all when it's wet! And when it's dry, you need a jack hammer to get through it! :shock:

Yep sounds like what we have. it's technical name is Houston Black Clay full of organics..

This used to be farmland 20 years ago, throw a seed on the ground.. give it a little water.. leave it alone.. and it grows..

We planted trees when we moved here, but since the birds started coming in they have dropped seeds and grown their own trees with little if any help from us :)

I just wanted to let everyone know that my husband is in critical condition right now due to a motorcycle accident n I will hang this build out to dry. It's just not important anymore.

Thank you guys!

He came through the night! The bleeding on his brain has stopped on it's own and his neurological team has signed off on him. They closed the gaping head wounds without surgery this morning and he is awake and talking.

Please continue praying for us! I'm searching high and low for the strength needed to get through this.
