Rock Waterfall / Slide Sub Recommendation

Rocks in Paradise out of Menifee did my waterfall/slide combo back in 2015. Their design work is top notch. Ours is a free-form gunite (faux rock) structure. Although I'm happy with the design, the chute has required almost annual resurfacing due to peeling sealer. Here is my post describing the issue:
RIP is now using a different procedure for finishing the slide chutes. They came out recently and sanded the chute smooth, patched cracks with Quikrete Water Stop Cement, and applied Minwax Finishing Paste Wax. I'm hoping with occasional applications of wax, the chute will hold up. Time will tell.

My recommendation is to consider alternatives for finishing the chute. A pre-formed fiberglass chute may be a better alternative, but will also require future maintenance or replacement.
