they do sell the parts in a way. A local dealer can get the parts for you for example I agree a clause like that would make sense but a lot of people would complain about it, threaten to sue, or just review bomb all products. it's insane how much I've seen it happen. For example. had a customer who had a dolphin s200. he ordered a premier cable for it. the connections are not the same. the connection wasnt sealed due to this. the customer then went on to threaten dolphin with legal action due to his own mistake. It's a sad state. Im all for people trying to learn but not everyone will accept they made the mistake.

Me just spitballing here has me thinking maybe the gasket wasn't sitting right. maybe causing a lot of pressure where that bracket was eventually causing a snap. seems like some sort of pressure but i don't think a difference in temp could cause a crack like that.

No way. The pressure difference from that temperature change is very small: less than the pressure difference between sea level and 200 meters.
It wasn't hard to close beyond the regular resitance of the air that gets traped inside and the "pins" that encroach into the lid are good visual signal that the lid is sitting correctly. Also, if the o-ring was not sitting well it would have leaked water immediately. When I have some time I will disassemble it and make the due autopsy

Thanks, didn't know that existed. They have my fav 4WD cheap (although was almost that price a year ago new}. Not as big/heavy/fancy as the 2500, but does the job. Looks like the 2500 would do a much better job "scrubbing".
So, I finally received my robot. They took around 4 or 5 days to ship it, I don't know how long it took to arrive because I was out of town and they didn't provide a tracking number.
At some point, after 4 days of the order being placed and no activity I started to doubt if the web page was legit so I contacted BWT through their web page. I got an email a day after from Marcus telling me that he could see I had an order and it was being processed. So, the web page IS legit and it is affiliated with BWT.
The robot itself looks like new. It came in the original box but with generic paddings. It also includes a Cady (not a trolley), it provides a place to put the robot and move it with wheels, but it doesn't have a holder for the controll box (trolley does).
Build quality seems good, sturdier than my old Maytronics, but I agree that at first sight Maytronics is simpler.
The robot comes with two filter box on each side of the motor, they are kind of big but, it doesn't look like even adding the capacity of both will match the capacity of the Maytronics. The filter material is a kind of a fabric so it catches very thin particles. Filter are very easy to clean.
The control box has one Start/Stop button, a "Wireless" (Bluetooth) light and a "Filter Full" light. The robot will continue to run with a full filer box but it won't climb walls.
The Control box will only connect with Bluetooth to the app on the phone where the robot can be started and stopped, the run cycle length can be changed, a schedule can be selected and the robot can be remote controlled.
*** I couldn't install the app on my newer Android phone *** the Play Store indicated that the app was designed for an older version of Android. I had to install it on an old Samsung S7 that I had laying around.
There are two apps, Aquabot RC and BWT RC, both look pretty similar with the BWT being an older version than the Aquabot (I would have think it was going to be the other way around).
There is an IOs App but I don't have an Apple device to check it.
Here are some pictures of how it arrived. The box was inside another box with those popcorn padding, so I would say it was well packed.

The web page is pretty new. I was going to go with the Emerald 200 which is pretty much the same as the 4WD, but it wasn't such a difference with the Rapids 2500/Emerald 300 and the app and some extra features made me think it was a better option.
My stairs and sitting aren't that big. The robot doesn't fit completely on the depth of a step. Normal I just brush those surfaces and push the direct to the pool floor. Next run I'll try to check anyways to see if it tries at least

Curious what your thoughts are after a month of use. The Emerald 300 looks similar to your 2500, but has no carry, so cheaper.
I think the 300 and 2500 are pretty much the same.
Opinion wise, I have to say I'm not impressed. The robot showed a failure a couple of days ago that I'm working out with their support, but my opinion is not going to be based on this failure.
I have to agree with @jkozas that the robot is over complicated. It has two motors that drive two small belts each that in turns drive the tracks. Inside is separated in three modules, main drive - propeller - slave drive, all inter-connected with cables.
In comparison, maytroncis was just one single unit with everything inside and a big chunky gear driving the tracks. Of course the maytronic robot can't turn but for what I read it accomplishea this by "pulling" from the cable.
Since the myatronics did a very good job at cleaning the pool, the fact that this Aquabot can turn doesn't seem to improve the cleaning at all.
Last but not least, I have to insist I'm not a fan of the two filter design. Again, the single central filter in the middle that Maytronics have is a better design and it looks bigger.
I guess we have to accept we are not going to find the perfect pool robot (not at the price that we want at least

My thoughts exactly about 2 baskets. I'm happy enough with my 4WD, but sure hoping the Aiper Pro works out.
Something to Consider:
So I talked about a failure. The "Slave Drive" failed, that's one of the 3 modules inside the robot that drives one of the tracks. Is not that unusual for electronic things to fail at the beginning and then be rock solid for the rest of their life, so I'm not going to beat them on that.
After some back a forth, me filling a stupid form and repeating all the same stuff I already told on the email to the support person they are going to send me a label.
I'm in Fort Lauderdale FL and the closest Qualified Service is in Gainesville GA!!! 700 miles away, just around the corner
.They are going to be so kind to provide me with a label only because I'm in the 90 days period. After that, if anything happens I'll have to pay myself to ship the 20 lb thing to Giorgia (around $90 one way on UPS!!!).
So, that's my experience so far, make your own judgements.
So I bought the 2500....and when I got it it cleaned the floors but could not climb the walls (would go up about 5 inches and then go back down)....went back and forth with service team - they sent me a label to ship it to them - they sent me a replacement which they said they claim they tested in their pool....I tried the replacement last night - climbed the wall once...after that it reverted to going back 5-6 inches and then went back down.....did your climb the walls for cleaning?Something to Consider:

Yes it does climb the walls. But be aware that if the filter is full, which happens fairly quickly unless your pools is pretty clean, the robot does not climb the walls.
