RJ60 Install in winter

Hi everyone. I’ve been using TFP and pool math since I got my pool three years ago. Because of chlorine costs, I’ve decided to go to salt water.

I bought the RJ60 and will install this week. Now that it is winter, will the cell even produce chlorine? We are in the 60s right now in north Texas.

Depends. My water temp is currently hoovering around 58-60 and I'm still producing. The module should let you know when it's too cold at which point you can simply turn it off and add liquid chlorine as needed every few days.

Do you just turn it off or leave it running, even though it’s not producing?

I just leave it running, no harm in that. Water was back up to 64° this weekend so it started producing again. I've had a floater the last couple of weeks while it's been cooler.
