Rigid foam under entire pool

looking to install a new 15x30 AGP and wanted to know if anyone has used rigid foam underneath the entire pool, walls and all? Given extruded polyurethane insulation has a high psi and many people use it under the liner, I am considering extending it out several inches further and placing the walls on top as well, then trim some of the excess.

let me know if I am out to lunch on this, but it would seem to be an easier install and would’t subtract from pool depth and keep it similar to a traditional thin pool pad.

Thanks for the quick response Casey. I plan to build a base with crusher dust before putting down foam, and I am curious why having pavers underneath would be any more supportive than the foam, which would disperse the weight. Not questioning your experience but thinking of some other installs that I have seen without any pavers at all.

I would like to see these pools installed without pavers. It's always recommended that the posts sit on a solid base like a concrete paver to carry the load of the pool evenly and not sink a side of the pool into the ground from rain and or splash out.

We are installing our 12x24 AGP this weekend. We are doing 12x12 concrete pavers under each leg and extruded 1 inch foam under the pool. The pavers are super solid. From everything I’ve read, it’s the best way to build these pools.

Solid advice. Is there any concern about liner fit when the Bottom of the pool is raised by the 1 - 2 inches that the foam takes up? Or is it possible to extend the foam under the walls but keep the pavers under the legs?

It wouldn't be possible to extend the foam under the walls. You want to cut the foam to fit inside the bottom ring and then use a foam cove kit to cover the small gap. There are pics of this process in my build.
