My CH is at 900 right now so I need to at least halve it or less. My fill water is 150 so that would explain how the level gets so high. Now that I know what I'm doing I will probably be draining water off each spring to reset it. Unfortunately while I have soft water in the kitchen right next to the outdoor faucet that is hard water, I don't really want to cut the wall open to get soft water just for the pool, though it is a good solution.
