I've had several quotes to resurface my pool, and it's looking like I'll give my business to a nice local company who has a very competitive price on a nice pebble product.
My question is - this is the ONLY guy telling me that I should replace my lights. Even with the cost of the lights he's still the best price, but does this make sense? His logic is that in many cases lights are compromised during the resurfacing, and it's a better idea to simply plan on replacing the lights rather than try to turn them on two months later and find out they're broken.
I actually asked every other company who gave me a bid about the lights and none of them seemed to think there was any likelihood that the lights would be damaged.
What do y'all think? And can I just put an LED bulb in my existing light fixtures (pool + spa) rather than getting new LED fixtures?
