Replacing Infloor Pool Cleaner Pump Motor

I have a Paramount PCC2000 infloor pool cleaner. Recently the motor died (nothing happens when it is turned on). This is the motor that was being used:
Replacement Motor matching AO SMITH Number K48L2PA101A1

Should I just replace it with this exact same motor? Or are there other options I can consider that might be better?

You need to stick with the QC1102 or equivalent. I would just shop by price.

However, are you sure the old motor doesn't have bad start capacitor? Does it just hum when you turn it on?

I will try to listen carefully but I believe it is completely silent. If I hear the hum, I'll try replacing the capacitor. But if I hear nothing, then I guess I need to replace the motor.

Even if you hear nothing, there are other diagnostics you should check.

- Make sure the motor is getting power. Measure at the motor terminals

- Check the centrifugal switch at the back of the motor for corrosion. The contacts can become dirty and prevent starting.

Looks like the motor needs to be replaced. Aside from buying the motor itself, what other parts do I need?
And is this something really straightforward to do myself?
