After 15 years, my Heyward Aqua Rite system quit working. I tried the thermistor replacement as described in most excellent article on TFP [ www.troublefreepool.com/wiki/index.php?title=Hayward_Aquarite_SWG#Troubleshooting_the_Main_Board ], however this fix only lasted about two months. The main power light went out and no other lights turned on. I saw my options as:
- New Aqua Rite control box: GLX-CTL-RITE $1100 without a new cell, $1449 with a new T-Cell-3 (small cell for small pools)
- New Aqua Rite main printed circuit board (GLX-PCB-RITE $330) + optionally new display board (GLX-PCB-DSP $160)
- Ebay PCB repair service such as [ www.haywardboardrepair.com ] referenced in article above, $130
- Aftermarket PCB + Display board from Amazon for $159.

I have opted for the aftermarket Mahuibin board + display from Amazon ($159, 4 stars). I also opted for the $26 three year protection plan for a total of $185. I installed it 6 July 2024. Easy to do. Be sure to know if your system is wired 240V or 120V and install the power jumpers properly. See TFP [www.troublefreepool.com/wiki/index.php?title=Hayward_Aquarite_SWG#Hayward_Aquarite_120V_or_240V_Operation]

I will update the TFP community on how it goes.
