Replace skimmer when changing liner

Hi,

As winter comes to an end I have noticed that my pool cover is 4 feet lower than it was in the fall, so I have a leak. My liner is old faded and wrinkled so I am going to have it replaced. I have a standing quote of $2800 Canadian tax in for a Magna 30g liner and install, but still looking for other quotes.

Question I had is if it is easier, and cheaper, to have the skimmer replaced at the same time as the liner replacement? I have been told that my skimmer is from the 70's and they do not make replacement parts anymore (it is a Haywood Turbo skimmer), so I thought this would be a good time for a replacement.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
