Replace Liners

June 2024 new guy
So lowered water in 12 x 32 doughboy 20 years old to make wall post repair. Must have lowered to much as started refill and liner pulled away from top rim in several areas and tore. Old faded liner.
So need replace. How long can I leave pool empty before get new liner? A few weeks or months or does it matter.
There is redwood deck built all around it.
Old 74 guy and have a guy to replace it. But need guidance

Welcome! Without seeing your set-up it’s hard to say. If the walls aren’t in danger of collapse, you can go for a bit if you can’t get the new liner right away.
