Remove bottom pan to clean it/bottom of spa?

I just bought a spa (hot tub) - Down East Exeter - which is 14 years old. Needs repairs due to mice chewing wires. We had to put it on its side in order to get to my patio, and still have it on its side since there's a ridiculous, incredible urine(?) odor. Supposedly from the mice that lived in it. If fact, when we went to move it one ran out.

Anyway, thinking of taking the plastic bottom pan off to clean it and that area. A friend cautioned against it, only because he was concerned with getting the screw holes to line up again when putting it back on. Any thoughts on that being an issue? Any other thoughts/suggestions? I was going to use bleach, maybe pressure washer, and enzymatic cleaner that we have for our dog urine spots. Also, the pan has several holes in, but I don't suppose that matters, or should I seal them? I'm thinking that mice can get in someway if they want to.

Some more info. I now see why I was cautioned against removing the bottom pan: see the attached photo. Lots of insulation seeming to be attached to the pan. Thoughts?99312
