It has not quite been a month since my last purge, clean, refill, which included 4 rounds with Ahhsome until no more gunk was seen.
About a week after this, I let FC drop to zero overnight. Since then cc has been between 1 and 1.5 (for the last 3 weeks). Usage has been moderate (1-2 people, 3-4 nights a week).
It has been challenging to keep FC in range (it has hit zero a couple more times), it seems to be using a lot of chlorine. The water has been crystal clear, but has been pretty stinky.
I've tried to run the spa with the cover off (between storms) and that helps to get rid of the smell, but cc won't drop below 1.
I know I need to do better at keeping FC in range, and I have gotten better about dosing after each use.
So have I crossed a tipping point where I need to purge, clean and refill again? Or can I get another month or two out of this water?
