First year with a pool. I left the pump off for a couple of days and then had to deal with a greenish/brown algae. I just received my TF-100 kit Friday so I spent the weekend trying to SLAM the pool. The algae cleared up but then this morning I had reddish brown particles at the bottom (see picture). How do I tell what this substance is? How do I get rid of it?
Also, I brought my water level up about 1” last night because I wanted to keep the pump running and it was low. I filled it with well water so I assumed it was iron but I tried to attract the particles with a magnet and nothing stuck. Any ideas what I should do from hear would be greatly appreciated.
