Hello and any help would be appreciated. I have a raypack 156 heater I purchased last June. When I opened pool few weeks ago I had to replace the rollout sensor. After replacing the rollout sensor when the heater turns on it goes to spark and heating and the back to spark and then back to heating every minute or so. Also, now leaking from bottom. I assume the heat exchange is bad and managed to get a new one for free after complaining. Before I put new exchanger in, is the issue with it sparking something that is caused by the exchanger? When I called raypack they claim it’s the gas flow but I fine it so wierd this is happening all together.
Thanks

Can we some pictures of your equipment pad setup?

How do you chlorinate your pool?

A failed heat exchanger after one year is a pretty bad sign. Hard to say what’s causing the ignition failure/cycling until the leak is resolved. You’re probably going to want to pull out the entire burner tray assembly to see if the leak caused damage there. The pilot should also be pulled as well.

Only do this if you feel comfortable working around a gas appliance safely. Otherwise, call in a qualified gas plumber to inspect and repair the heater.
