I ran out of DPD powder while I am in the middle of the SLAM process. I had thought I could just go to a local pool store and get more but they all stock only the liquid testing agents. It's taking 2 days to get DPD powder thru Amazon. Will test strips give me a somewhat accurate reading for Free Chlorine in the interim?

Nope, test strips don't tell you anything.
Just keep on adding the same amounts of liquid chlorine you have in the last day or two until you get more reagents and can see where you are.
