Hey 102894 Experts, my pool test numbers are
Build Type: Plaster
Volume: 28000 gallons
------------------------------------------
Latest Test Result Summary:
FC: 5.0 (9 minutes ago)
CC: 5.0 (9 minutes ago)
pH: 7.4 (9 minutes ago)
TA: 120 (9 minutes ago)
CH: 290 (9 minutes ago)
CYA: 10 (9 minutes ago)
TEMPERATURE: 84° (9 minutes ago)
CSI: -0.01 (9 minutes ago)

This is after a refill of 1/2 the water due to CH of about 400 and signs of scaling. I've brought the TA done from 170 by using the acid/aerate I learned on TFP in just 3 days. Will continue to do this. My pool looks amazing but the CYA is very low. The CYA is a guess as the Taylor test kit filled to the top stops at 30 and when full I can still see the dot. I added the product in the picture . 1 gallon 48 hours ago and 1 more gallon this AM . The test is about 2 hours after the second gallon. TFP math app (LOVE IT !!) says to add 2 more gallons . Should I wait a few days /hours for this product to work ? it says on the bottle it works immediately in protecting the chlorine but I would assume in order to do that the CYA would have to be present in this test . if I started with 0 cya it should take 3 gallons to get to 30. I dont want to keep dumpling chemicals in if I dont need to ..
Recap on what i have used since refill.
I've added about 2 gallons (total)of 29% muratic acid in increments of .75 gallons over 3 days at a time to lower PH and been aerating for 2 days straight with 3 large spillovers fountains for the TA. Added about 2 gallons of Liquid Chlorine over the last 3 days to slam it.
2 gallons of the Stabilizer . no other products in this water ...

thoughts?

If you have added 2 gallons of liquid CYA wait at least 24 hours to be sure it is well mixed. I assume you washed out the bottle well as many find the CYA clumped in the bottom of the bottle.

Were did you pour the CYA liquid at in the pool?

FYI - you are not using the SLAM process. Read SLAM Process

OK -- the one down the skimmer may take a few days to fully show up.

I would wait a day or two before adding any more.
