Hello everyone - we are about to sign a contract for our first pool. Does anyone know the advantage of raising the spa to 12 or 18 inches? Originally we wanted to keep the spa flat but the sales guy wants us to raise it. Please advise.

It stays cleaner. It creates a spillway/water feature. Kids are less apt to bug you when they’re in the pool.
No glaring advantage or disadvantage. Just depends on aesthetics what “look” you’re going for.
