Rain and SLAM

I see a lot of redundant type questions about SLAMing but I couldn't find my situation so figured I'd ask.

I've been slamming since late Saturday. LOTS of Liquid Chlorine has been dumped into my pool. 70 CYA there for ya!

I put in the Pool Math amount of chlorine yesterday morning to get back to 28 FC and in the middle of the afternoon, my reading was 29 FC....

After sundown ahead of a thunderstorm, I did my reading and it was 27. It was a pretty cloudy day as an earlier thunderstorm had rolled in as well here in South Jersey.

This morning I was at 24 FC so a 3 FC drop which fails the overnight test. My question though is why would I really not drop any FC during the height of the day yesterday, drop 2 FC to sun down but then drop 3 FC overnight? We received more rain overnight as well. Could rain impact my FC count that I lost an FC or two and my SLAM is "complete" or just go ahead for another day SLAMing?

Thanks!

Safe to assume the SWG was off this entire time right? If so, I suspect the FC increase you experienced yesterday may just have been a simple testing variance. I can't see the rain influencing anything. Maybe the chlorine was a bit stronger than anticipated, or there was just something about the test itself (drop size or something) that influenced the readings. I wouldn't read too much into it at this point since you still have a little ways to go. The OCLT of 3 ppm is too much to ignore. Hang in there.
