Quick Slam Question

I have read the slam process guide and have done this for a few years, but have a green frog factory to deal with and wanted to settle something once and for all. The slam process reads to me like I need to do things in this order.

1) adjust PH *before* I add chlorine as it wont read after I start the true slam.
2) make sure CYA is present and preferably 10-30 ppm?
3) then and only then add chlorine to the slam level and keep it there (with brushing and vacuuming).

Do I have it correct? Anything I am missing? I have the recommended kits for testing.

Yes, pH first. But be sure you have a good CYA of 30 and no lower. With a CYA of 30, then your SLAM FC level will be 12 and you can press on. Good luck!
