Hi all.

Need some advice,

Tf-100 $70.00- Taylor k2006 $54.00 - Taylor k2006c $105.00. Speedster-optional.
My pool is open from June through end of September. Assuming I have to purchase a new kit/or new reagents every year, does it make sense to purchase the least expensive of the 3?

Richard has you covered. The smaller K2006 doesn't have enough reagents. Personally, I'd get the TF-100. The reagents in a new TF-100 are always fresh (and are Taylor reagents). If you store the testkit inside the house, your reagents should easily last 2 full seasons. Get the Speedstir to - you won't regret it. $105 for both the TF-100 and Speedstir.

Good to hear from local. Jfgofnj, do you use city or well water? If city, do you have any issues with cooper in the city water?

I use city water (New Jersey American Water) and also have a heater. Before I used the TFP method I had my water tested at the pool store, they would say I did have copper in my water and blamed it on the heater. They would sell me some type of chemical (don't recall the name). Anyway, I haven't use any of that stuff in years and don't seem to have a problem with it. My levels was always on the low end that was supposedly normal for a pool with a heater.

By the way, you can buy 5 gallon 12.5% liquid chlorine at Nationals Pool & spa on Rt. 206 in Hillsborough. Cost $19.58 for 5 gallons (plus one time $8 deposit on container)
