I current have yellow algae on some parts of my 13,500 gal above ground pool. My current FC is 7.5 and I have a TC at 5. My CYA is at 40 according to my Taylor kit. I’m new at this don’t know if I should add more chlorine

A lot of folks mistake normal algae for mustard algae. Mustard algae prefers to grow in shady areas of the pool. whereas regular algae grows anywhere, often hiding in cracks and crevices making it hard to find and scrub down. Is that how your pool is?

No this algae is scattered and not just in shady places. The picture I sent is in the middle of the pool.
Hmmmmm? I don't see a pic, but it sounds like regular algae. A SLAM process is what's in order!!
Sorry I must of done something wrong. I retest my clorine and have FC 5 and TC of 5 according to my Taylor k-2005

You need to get the Taylor K1515 to be able to test at higher levels than just 5ppm.

A proper SLAM process goes higher than 5 because your CYA has to be taken in effect.
