Question about removing drain valve

This is probably a dumb question with a simple answer. I’m going to be replacing all the equipment and replumbing the pad. In the process, I’ll be removing the old valves for the skimmers and the main drain. Right now the pool is winterized (by someone else) and the skimmer valves are open but the drain valve is closed. The water is below the skimmers. The pad is slightly above the pool. When I remove the drain valve, will pool water flow out?

the skimmer valves are open but the drain valve is closed.

The main drain valve is closed because you create an airlock for the main drain when they close so that there is no water in the main drain line during the winter. When you open it, water will fill the line again, back to the level of the pool.
