So, what color red is the endpoint for TA levels? I do a drop at a time, and it seems like it turns kinda purple and then progressively more red, so that can be b/w 100 and 120 depending on the redness of red...
which is still above ideal for SWCG as per TFP. Still being pt on that but doesn't seem to want to come down anymore.
Also, just curious why pool school says early evening is best time to test FC from SWCG? I would think you would want to make sure it's in the acceptable values at the time it is most used up which would be in the afternoon.

Add drops slowly and when the last drop you add doesn’t change the color, subtract that one.

If it changes red at 6 drops you put another one in and it doesn’t change, it is 60. Make sense? I always know it’s getting close when it changes colors briefly then turns back. Normally it’s one more drop, maybe two tops.

Drop, Swirl, Drop. When the last drop doesn't change the color at all, subtract that drop and you are done.

For the most part, ignore TA. Manage pH. Higher than 60-80 TA, pH tend to rise. When pH rises to 8.0, reduce to 7.6, rinse repeat. As you reduce pH with muriatic acid, TA is also decreases. At some point, TA and pH reach equilibrium and pH rise will slow.

FC is consumed until the sun sets.
