Hi All, I am slowly becoming more self sufficient with Pool Maintenance, and wanted to ask about Variable Speed Pool Pump replacement. I currently have a Pentair Intelliflo VS Pump, 3 HP, which failed late last year (the code said it was the drive). I watched a video on how to replace this pump with "like for like" and I can handle this, mainly as the PVC plumbing would not have to change.
I am not using, nor plan to use, automation, so I can go with a lower cost pump, and this Black and Decker Pump down below caught my eye.
My Question is "Has anyone replaced a Pentair Intelliflo VS 3HP with this Black Decker 3HP? If so, was it just as straight forward as a like for like, or where other modifications necessary?" Thanks in advance all!!!!
