Hi all! First time taking over a pool, I took apart the filter and there is a lot of DE everywhere, and also no screen on the air relief tube. I’ve been having DE blow back into the pool since the last cleaning (done by a company - and not super happy with them so I’m trying to learn how to do it on my own).
Questions..
1. Do I need to replace/add the screen mesh cap on the center tube, and if so, where do I find that?
2. Does anything look otherwise abnormal in the filter? It was cleaned 4-5 months ago.
Additional info:
18,000 gallon pool, not salt, filters cleaned every six months, filters last replaced in Aug 2022 (and company is now trying to pressure me into buying new filters).
