Long story short.
In the process of replacing a retaining wall, adding an outdoor kitchen area and fixing subsurface water issues, I had 1.5 ton excavator snag an abandoned electrical conduit which broke lose skimmer drain line at a joint. I capped the line temporary. Once the panic was over I found several other items that concerns me. First, previous pool guy replaced the skimmer and abandoned the existing pipe and ran a new barely under the surface of the ground.
Second, skimmer area is leaking.
Third, a rubber union with pipe clamps.
Fourth, flexible corrugated hose between PVC.
We picture for reference.
My questions are.
What would you do to resolve? I'm okay with the manual labor.
Does the corrugated hose serve a purpose?
Can re pipe everything in PVC and resolve some issues?
Thanks in advance!
James
