Pump Upgrade

Hi all. I have 3 WFE 8, 2 HP Pentair pumps. They are old. They operate one water feature and 2 sets of jet returns. I have aqualink RS8. Original installation.

If I purchased VS pumps, do I need to change anything with the Aqualink system? Also I found replacement motors online for good prices...same ones . Should I get those and install or are they too old where I should replace both motor and wet end?

Two of them are starting to make squealing noises. They stop when I hit with a mallet but ultimately comes and goes. I know I can change bearings but with the age and the time to change, I don't know if I have patience without being guaranteed I won't have problems.

How old are they? You should get something that is compatible with Aqualink. You may need to change the pump type within Aqualink depending on what you get.
