Pump Run Times

I have a 3/4 hp 110volt pump. I run it from 10am to 6pm. It blew a capacitor in march and 2 days ago. I know the windings may be degraded. I usually end up replacing the motor approx. every 3 years. South Fla temps are in the 90's all summer. Should I consider splitting the run times? 4hrs morning and 4hrs late afternoon?

Welcome to TFP! I'll place an article for you to look over about that very subject. But a motor sholdn't be going bad every 3 years just based on the run time. I run my little 2-speed on low 24/7/365. Perhaps there's another problem with the set-up that is causing your repeated motor failures?

Perhaps share some pics of your equipment pad and especially the motor. The label(s), plumbing lines, connections, power sources, etc.
