I replaced my hayward super pump motor with a century motor that has the same specs but the frame is larger. put the ceramic seal on upside down and destroyed the seal, but the motor still acts like it's wired incorrectly. will start and run for a couple seconds and them shuts off. Not sure where to go next.

Need a little more info. 1-Does the shaft actually spin for that couple of seconds it "runs"? 2-Does it restart right away, or do you have to wait? 3-I'm guessing it's 110v?
The plug was one pin off for the 115/230 switch. Motor's running fine now. Great website, just keep digging and the answer's here.
