I'm sending out an SOS- I made a very dumb and now costly mistake of forgetting to unplug the pump when turning it to backwash. A catastrophe occurred including blowing of bolts and cracking of plastic of the pump. I managed to stop the eruption of Hoover Dam that subsequently occurred, but am now without a pump. SO, what's the best thing to do to for the water until we can get a new pump? My chemical levels have been perfect thus far...Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Continue to add chlorine after testing. Use a brush to mix it in. Brush at least a couple times per day. You do not show having a robot but if you have one, use it to mix the water.

Good luck.

What Marty said ^^

You will be surprised just how clear you can keep water for a few days without filtration when you add chlorine and circulate the water (brushing, swimming, robot, etc).

Thank you. It's going to be a few days at least before we are able to get a new pump installed. I'm so mad at myself! I don't have a robot cleaner and won't be able to afford one any time soon now, ugh!
