I purchased a prowler 930W middle of 2021. It worked fine until mid summer last year. Then I have had nothing but problems with it. I cannot get it to work. I have replaced the cable - twice. I have tested everything with a volt meter which indicates all should be well. I just received a new power supply box (lack of a better word). It is still not working. I am beyond frustrated. Can anyone help me trouble shoot this? Tell me where to begin? My last robot was a polaris and lasted 9 1/2 years. I know how to care for my pool equipment.

These Prowlers are just repackaged Dolphin robots. Typically the motor drive unit goes bad, a lot of times because of a seal failure and water incursion.

Can you describe the symptoms you are seeing? Does it power on at all? Does it move in the water?

Pull it out of the water, set it up on 2x4 blocks and open the lid. Remove the filter basket. Power the unit on. Does it run through its normal self test at all? The tracks should move forward and backwards and the impeller should spin up through several distinct speed changes?

Report back what you’re seeing ..

The robot does not respond at all. The blue indicator light does not turn on. I have a brand new cable and power supply. If I try to use the app - the app gives me an alert that says the robot is not connected to power supply

All of the control electronics are built into the motor assembly. The power supply is just a dumb power source with Bluetooth connectivity (and/or WiFi in some cases). Sounds like your motor is dead. The only option is to pull it out and open it up. My guess is water got into it and something shorted out. They are not really serviceable. Pentair/Maytronics charges $450-$500 for a new motor assembly if it’s not covered under warranty. In that case, it’s better just to toss the robot and buy new.
