Hi there. Last spring I did a treatment on my pool to remove stains. Worked great. This year I'd like to drain my pool by half as I got tired of adding sequestrant all the time. Which brings me to the partial drain.
Since the pool is still covered (solid cover), I'm thinking of draining by about half and refilling. My question is this, since the cover should protect the plaster from drying out and we are in a dry period so groundwater should not be a problem, are there any other considerations I need to account for or am I good to go?

Many thanks

This time of year there is no issue with the plaster drying out if you are draining and refilling. The bigger risk is the ground water level. If you are confident of that, then move forward with your plan.
