Program EasyTouch8 for Clean/Vac

With the WhisperFlo VST I programmed three speeds. One is for 3,000 RPM for when I run my vac.
I have an open button on the Panel in the No.6 position. From the Names List I chose to rename this to ""Bottom Cleaning".
From the speed setting I chose the Circuit "Bottom Cleaning"
So when I press this button No.6, the pump speeds up as it should.
Trouble is, sometimes the controller turns on No. 6 without me pressing the button No.6
I only want to be able to activate button No.6 manually, but it seems something else is activating it?

For it to run without you initiating it, it must be scheduled.
Do you have Screenlogic?

I do not have ScreenLogic. But I can tell you that I have two schedules for my pump. Could that be triggering it?

The Circuit must be scheduled if it is running without you initiating it. Check your schedules.

There is no schedule associated with. I think what I’m going to do is delete this circuit and then start over again using a different circuit and see if I get the same result.

Be sure the Circuit Function is Generic.

I did all of that this morning. I'll report back when I've had it running for a day or so. Yesterday I ordered the ScreenLogic device. I have ethernet in my pool room so I won't need the wireless part.

Sounds good. Be careful using a direct wired Screenlogic. If you have lightening it can take out a bunch of stuff. In your area that should not be a big deal. I use a wireless access point for my screenlogic.

I have a surge protector that I can install on that ethernet connection. Been thinking of doing a Whole House unit, lightning is rare here but surges are not.

Unless you got the protocol adapter for an amazing price, they tend to be over half the cost of upgrading to an Intellicenter. I would go that way now before adding Screenlogic.

I found one for just under $400 and felt that would not break the bank. Pentair has plenty of my retirement savings already. They should have a retirement plan.
