I set about to install my 100W nitelighter light on my above ground pool...

Instructions seem fairly simple...remove top rail, slide the thing on, put top rail back on. And since things are never as easy as they appear...

There were two screws attaching my resin top rail to the upright. I unscrewed the first one, everything is good. I get the second one unscrewed and the top rail seems to pop/shift about 3/4 of an inch. There is absolutely no way I can get that second screw back in. I manage to get the first one back in to one of the open holes on the upright metal plate (not the same one it came from). I'm very worried about this...my husband is travelling for work and will be back in a few days and he might be able to get that second screw back in (but for the life of me I can't see how...he's strong, but it seems like it will take a lot of force to get the holes aligned).

Thoughts? I am going to be ok with it like it is until Thursday? Do I need to call a strong neighbor over ASAP to help get it back together? Any ideas on how to get it back together?

And FWIW, that d@%^ light didn't fit under the rail anyway. I'm so annoyed.

Thanks.

Take the top caps off the adjacent upright (leave the rails bolted to those uprights) and use a ratchet strap to pull the top rails back into position so that the screw holes line up ..... don't ask me how I know.
