Hi. First time pool owner. New house came with an inground pool, saltwater system. When I opened the pool, I added the correct amount of pool salt. However, my salt generator said LOW SALT (1000ppm) and CHECK CELL. I replaced the cell, thinking it was bad (not sure how old it is, and I cleaned it). Replaced with a new one a week ago. Level went from 1000 to 1500, and now its at 1900. Still says LOW SALT and CHECK CELL. What should I do?

Get the Taylor K-1766 salt test kit and get an accurate reading. Then adjust your salt accordingly.
