Welcome to TFP!

Draining and starting over is really by far your best option. The copper from the Pristine Blue is what is causing the green hair and swimsuit. You may start seeing black or blue stains on your liner as it deposits there. You can use a regular dose of a phosphonic acid sequestrant to help control the copper, but it won't get rid of it.

Pristine Blue is not a sanitizer, and a pool still requires exactly the same amount of chlorine as if you weren't using it. There is no benefit to Pristine Blue and plenty of negatives.
You must not be doing it right then. I have Had pristine blue for 7 years and o problems. I put In 2 lbs of shock every two weeks then I mix My own copper sulfate and water to make my own pristine blue and I add That every week as needed according to my tester. I have Never had cloudy water or algae just clear blue water. I also have never had my water tested water is clear, clean and no odor no stains on liner no green hair or suits. Yours must be different,

Pristine Blue is the easiest thing I have Ever used. My water stays deep blue and clear. I have Had pool for 7 years and couldn’t be happier. Heck I have Never even had my water tested if water is clear odor free why test it.

You test it because copper isn’t a sanitizer for pool water. It keeps the water clear, but it isn’t safe for swimmers. Chlorine is used to remove biological contaminants like viruses, bacteria, amoeba and parasites which copper can’t affect quickly enough to make the water safe.

Using that stuff is like drawing treads on your tires with a Sharpie when they are worn out. It looks good, but it’s dangerous.

Sanitation? Algae is nothing but a minor eyesore, it's the stuff you can't see that matter. Plenty of people have gotten sick and even died from swimming in or drinking perfectly clear water.

My water stays deep blue
Water is supposed to be colorless...

Stick1966, we do not endorse Pristine Blue or any other dubious method of pool sanitation and care. This is a chlorine based pool method pool forum and we are here to help others use chlorine, as it *is* the best pool sanitizer available. There is no reason to use anything else in addition to chlorine, or in place of it.
