Prime protection on Circupool VS Pumps

Looking at installing a CircuPool SmartFlo pump and trying to see if it had some sort of protection against loosing prime. My pentair intelliflo that is old and on it's way out seems to have this feature. For example, at start up if it lost prime, (for example, skimmer basket lid wasn't closed tight enough) it would shut off after about a minute or so.

I looked through the CircuPool SmartFlo manual and website and didn't see this. I called CircuPool late in the day but did not get them on the line. Anyone know???

I doubt it. The Circupool manual has no troubleshooting or error messages about failure to prime or loss of prime that show the pump has any sensors for it.

Did you mean the pump basket lid?
Skimmer lid won't affect ability to prime.

I don't believe my Intelliflo 2 has that feature in the manual either but I haven't looked for it.
