Pressure side cleaner wall fitting

I am replacing my Polaris 360 with a Polaris 9450 robotic cleaner. What do you do with the current wall fitting for the 360?
My pool was designed to use a RayVac cleaner initially so I have an in-line filter and jandy valve controlling that inlet.
I would not like to leave that 1.5 inch opening without some sort of cover/protection.

I would use the pressure cleaner line as an additional return and let water flow through it.

The pressure side fitting does not flow through the main cartridge filters but does have its own coarse filter. I guess that I could reduce the flow with the Jandy valve and bypass the controller so that it is always slightly open.

You could do that or replumb the line to connect after the cartridge filter.

I put a return fitting on mine and capped the line at the pump station. That way the line could but used again if desired. I have plenty of exsisting return flow so another return isnt needed.
