So, I was going to be gone this morning and over dosed the Lc addition (purposefully, since I wouldn’t be home to test/add)

7:30 am fc 9.5
added a full gallon of 12.5%
(Should have taken me to 22)
tested at 1 pm fc 14.5

Idk wether to cry or 🤬
Instead I’ll do neither and just hope the ahhsome has found/dislodged more stuff.

Is some of this algae microscopic? Or invisible?

What I’m finding in the skimmer is very minimal and the water is very clear

Where's the CYA these days ?

It could be some crud still in the plumbing, the Ahhsome consuming FC, or the CYA dipped too low for your recent weather. Or 2 of the 3 / all of the above.
 
Cya has been 40 for the last two weeks . I did lose quite a bit fc when it dipped to 40 before , but was trying to get through this slam before raising .

Ima bout to test will report back in a few

I added one dose last Thursday and another Monday

WHY isn’t slam killing what’s in the plumbing ?

With any luck, you pass OCLT soon, the Ahhsome finishes whatever the gunk is going on in the pipes, we raise the CYA and it's finally a TFP.
 
If you have unreasonable loss today then the CYA is low for your current UV demand.
 
I will keep an eye on it, and oclt again tonight just to be safe.

My pressure has only gone up 1 psi or less in the last two weeks (even with the ahhsome and algae)
I intended to backwash this afternoon/add water
Oclt (if I pass again)
Add cya tomorrow if necessary

That is not a 25% increase but surely there is crud in there right?

Algecide is counterproductive during the season. The algecide consumes FC and vice versa leaving you with less of each.

Yeah. Normally there would be no need but we don't want anything remaining behind here.

I will oclt to be certain. If I pass will move forward with adding stabilizer in a sock . 1 lb at a time? Cya is 40 now

I did backwash today wasn’t a bunch of gunk like I’d hoped to see (in a weird way). Still wiping goo from skimmer tho. It very sticky -ish
 
I'd hold one more day before going for the CYA. Keep the cover closed at times if you're not swimming to reduce the extra UV loss.

I don’t chlorinate or use the mineral pack in the frog anymore - but water still passes through it . I think the O ring where you bleed air needs replaced because it’s been leaking from there .

Anyone know size off hand?
