Guess I'll see how this works...am on day 13 post slam...pool sparkling clear...but our drought is officially over...in the last 54 minutes...received 3 17/100" of sky dumping....draining now..intersted to see my numbers in a bit...was sunny all day until the skies opened! Holy rain drops Batman!

The rain effect on your chemical levels is usually minimal at most. The one most effected is the pH due to the constant aeration during the rain. When I get a lot of rain I don't pump it back down to my "perfect" level, but run it a little high as the water evaporates.

Yes Tim....I found that out..FC did drop a bit..but had lots of sun before..aeration is minimized due to lanai over the pool...but man what an onslaught. I am draining about an 1 1/2" be
Ow normal to get ready for this afternoons expected storms.

As a reminder, when you get a big downpour like that, allow the pool water to circulate maybe 30 minutes before you test to mix in that fresh rainwater. You'll get bogus results if you skim off the unmixed top of your pool.
