Possible to wire 3 actuators with 2 valve outputs?

Anyone know how you would accomplish this?

I have a 180 degree actuator (Valve A) that controls water going through the return or directed to water features.

I have 2 water features, one of them tanning deck bubblers (Valve B) and one of them Pool deck jets (hooked up to an AUX relay using a SPDT relay)

I have:

FEATURE 1 -> WATER FEATURE/RETURN actuator
FEATURE 2 -> TANNING DECK BUBBLERS actuator
AUX3 -> DECK JETS actuator

Obviously I have to turn FEAT 1 on if I enable either FEAT2/AUX3 otherwise no water would get diverted to the water features and it would only go to the returns.

So I wonder if its possible to set up a circuit where if I turn on BUBBLERS *or* POOL JETs, it will automatically trigger the WATER FEATURES actuator without me needing to manually trigger it. Anyone tried this before?

Its a simple logic diagram...

Bubblers OFF, Jets OFF -> Water Features OFF (Returns ON)
Bubblers ON, Jets OFF -> Water Features ON (Returns OFF)
Bubblers ON, Jets ON -> Water Features ON (Returns OFF)
Bubblers OFF, Jets ON -> Water Features ON (Returns OFF)

Trying to see how wiring this up would be possible thus eliminating the need for having a separate control for FEATURE 1 and it be automatic to diver water to features when necessary. Anyone do this before?

cj,

How about you use your new Aux3 to control your "Water Features" on /off and then use Valve A for the Bubblers and B for the Jets.

This way you could set up a new Circuit that called for Aux3 and Feature1 etc...

Thanks,

Jim R.

Maybe I don't understand the EasyTouch programming enough for that?

Assume that Bubblers are Feat 1 and Deck Jets Feat 2, and the water features actuator is on Aux3, how do I program ET so that when I turn on Feat1 it also turns on Aux3? (same with Feat2), and also have it so if both Feat1 & Feat2 are turned off, then Aux3 turns off?

cj,

My brain was not in gear when I made I made my initial suggestion.. :(

I went back and looked at it and I can't see a way to do what you want to do with one action.

Sorry for the confusion..

Well, I'm going to have to replace this EasyTouch 4 (single body) with at least an EasyTouch 8 motherboard since I need the extra AUX ports:

Current setup:

VALVE A: Water Features/Returns
VALVE B: Tanning Ledge Bubblers
AUX1: Pool lights (Intellibrite)
AUX2: Magicstream Laminars Lights
AUX3: SPDT Relay for Magicstream Laminars

So I'm short an AUX port for control over my Spa Jets. This is why I was asking if I could solve the problem electrically with relays so I can eliminate having the Water Features/Returns actuator from being controlled directly by the system and then I'd have just enough ports.

If I can't figure it out electrically I'll need to motherboard upgrade anyway and since it would be ~450$ for the ET8 panel, may as well get the intellitouch panel for a hundred more and have it work exactly how I want it with macros...

I'll snap a pic of the eq pad.
