i think the tomeline between the hole being dug and it being filled with water after the final coating is applied is the low of the pool building process. The hole starts to catch dirty rain water, frogs start living in it. All do the rubbish from the build process gets thrown into it, and the ground around the pool walls gets churned up as the contractors work around your garden. There were plenty of times when we looked outside and wondered what the heck we’d got ourselves in to. Even after the contractors had laid down the decking stone, I thought: this is a disaster. But it’s always darkest before the dawn. The next day the contractors came back and cut all of the edges of the decking smooth, they filled in the mortar between the stones, then the pebble finish was applied, and finally the water. It dawned on us: we have an amazing pool!
expect to look out and see a mess, and expect to feel down about it. But as someone mentioned above, we‘lol check back in during the summer, when you’re on a floaty with a drink in hand at 10:30am on a Tuesday. And we’ll ask you: how big’s that pool now?
hang in there, tiger.
